Most unique hotel in London!
+ Update 2026: We stayed for another couple nights and the hotel is just aa excellent as ever. We tried the Elemis massage treatment this time and it was great too. It's situated in one of the rooms of the hotel and the staff does a great job at finding you to bring you there.
Original 2024 review: Easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in - be sure to book and check out the Sky Pool, it's a must!
The location isn't the best as it's a little far from the city centre, however there's a tubes station right next door for easy access to the city.

An amazing stay!
+ Had the most amazing stay at Shangri-La The Shard. The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. It was a birthday treat and I was greeted in the room with a ‘happy birthday’ message written on the glass and a fabulous delivery of cakes. We were on the 44th floor with a view over the city but could see as far as Wembley, Ally Pally and the Emirates Stadium. The night view was spectacular! The room was large enough with ample storage, the bathroom was huge with a separate shower and bath. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast buffet was lovely with so much choice. Absolutely loved our stay - only negative was the leaving!!

+ Another lovely time in the Shangri-la with my daughter and grand daughter.
We knew what to expect as we had had a short break there last year and it was as good as last time, they even gave us the same room as last year as we requested.
The rooms are fabulous and a great comfort to return to after a busy day in London.
We did not use the bars or restaurants, but had room service dinner one evening and it was excellent, promptly delivered, beautifully presented and excellent quality.
The staff are terrific.
We hope to return…..

+ The literal height of luxury and service. This hotel is an architectual marvel. It is luxurious and matched by the exceptional service a guest expects when staying at property of this notoriety. Everything about this hotel is worth it. It is a must try. As an added bones, the hotel is readily accessible to the tube and a famous farmers market.
Jul 2026 + most things....the view is epic..rooms are great and staff supper helpful
− you should do staggered checkins so you coulds checkin at say 11.00 am but would then need checkout at 10-11 the next day..that way you wouldnt have half the hotel wouldnt be leaving at the same time and you could have more generous checkin. i think checkin at 4pm and checkout at 12 is really poor..

Vues incroyables depuis le lobby, le restaurant, la chambre, la piscine, le sauna … une expérience vraiment exceptionnelle !
Borough Market et gare de London Bridge au pied de l’hôtel, très pratique. Tout était nickel, j’y retournerai certainement :)
