Pharaohs Hotel

− My room needs updating but it was very clean and comfortable.

− Everything was as expected for what we paid. The location is great, and the staff are friendly, giving us advice to make sure we had a great stay

− They failed on a lot of levels. My Intrepid Tour was due to start at the Hotel so I booked one night beforehand. Then my tour changed to an earlier date, so I changed my booking. The hotel charged me on arrival but somehow they still had my booking recorded for the later date AND they charged me (a second time) - they suggested I did a "no-show" which is wrong. Then they suggested that my 2nd booking was through Trip.com - Trip.com confirmed that this was not the case - I have never used Trip for accommodation. They just won't admit they made a mistake and insist on keeping my money. I have tried with them, with Booking.com and now my bank to get this resolved. While I wait on my bank I will next contact Intrepid travel for assistance as they use this hotel as a starting point. If they respond to this msg, don't believe them. Before I knew about the double charge these were my comments: Numerous times they asked me to give a good review and they would give me a gift - fat chance
