− Despite an upgraded room, it was still smaller than expected.

− Nothing really, it delivered!!! My brother stayed here last year and was equally impressed.

− 1. hotel insisted on taking £150 deposit from my credit card, even though I had paid in full when I booked and I told them I did not want to sign any extras to the room but would pay as needed. This amount then takes up to 2 weeks to be refunded to the credit card. It is an unnecessary inconvenience for guests, with no clear justification from the hotel as to why they do it. 2. the room was comfortable except for one very poor design feature - the wardrobe/cupboard, with outward opening doors is situated in the narrow passage which leads to the exit door and has access to the bathroom. Each time one of us used the cupboard (frequently for clothes, tea, fridge etc.) the exit passage and access to the bathroom was completely blocked. Unnecessary inconvenience for guests. Clearly moving the cupboard is not practical unless the rooms are reconfigured but one solution is to put sliding doors instead of outward opening doors.
