− I had booked a king room, because I wanted a king size bed (it was literally the reason I booked the hotel). When checked in, I quickly realised I'd been given a double room. Whilst this was (eventually) resolved, the whole situation was not ideal and created a stressful start. The hotel claimed they'd upgraded me to a garden view room, but I find it really bizarre that they'd have thought I'd have been happy with a double when I paid for a king. The difference in the room sizes and bed sizes was vast as well. A shame, as it was certainly not cheap for a one night stay and definitely not what I expect after having spent a lot of money somewhere.
