First employee told me “I hate working here” — $500/night disaster
+ Literally the first staff member I met upon arrival, while waiting for the elevator, looked at me and said: “I hate working here.”
That pretty much summed up the entire experience.
For over £400 a night this hotel is falling apart:
* Two out of three elevators are completely broken. You regularly wait 5+ minutes for the single working one. I’m on the 8th floor — if that last elevator goes down, this place becomes chaos.
* The air conditioning in the room is extremely weak and barely cools the space (I specifically chose this hotel because it advertised A/C).
* Almost no signage — it’s confusing to even find the lobby when you arrive.
The hotel is clearly in the middle of a messy transition to Marriott and the current management has completely given up. The staff knows it, and it shows.
This is the worst hotel experience I’ve had in a long time in a developed country. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

The hotel exceeded all expectations.
+ The hotel was awesome. Absolutely loved the decor, the staff were all friendly and couldn’t do more to help, the room was very comfortable, clean and well maintained and the food was fantastic. Also, the breakfast was worth every penny we spent on it. We will definitely return xx

Nuit parfaite à Londres dans cette chaine
+ 3èeme fois dans un hotel de cette chaine.
L'acceuil est simplet la réception/bar /restaurant très sympa je trouve.
Les chambres ont une taille fonctionnelle et l'ensemble est très propre.

Stylish stay in Shoreditch. Solo-traveller suitable.
+ Really liked the overall vibe of the hotel. The entrance looks great, especially the staircase and the lamps hanging above it. Check-in and check-out were really smooth.
The room was on the smaller side, but it was a good size for a solo traveller. The bed was huge and really comfortable.
The iPad-controlled room was a nice touch and very easy to use. I also liked being able to change the LED lighting to different colours.
− The only small downside was that there were a few scratches and chips on some of the furniture in my room. It didn't affect my stay, but it was noticeable.
