Radisson Blu Hotel, London Bloomsbury

+ I booked an 11-night stay in a "newly refurbished Junior Suite" at Radisson Blu Bloomsbury via Qantas Hotels this July, expecting the standard of a trusted international brand. Instead, only the final two nights of my holiday were free of accommodation safety defects and problems — I was moved rooms four times in ten days. *Room 7005:* A high bathtub/shower combination, which I slipped on multiple times. Also no couch as adverstised. *Room 6023:* Promised as a walk-in shower fix — it wasn't. Rather a shower that could only be accessed by stepping over the high-bath tub - another slip hazard, plus a loose glass panel, a dead room phone, a broken room safe, and constant Wi-Fi dropouts (especially through the World Cup games). *Room 2008:* A downgrade in room size, with a used shower mat still containing the previous guest's hair, and air conditioning that didn't work through a summer heatwave. Staff twice told me it was fixed when it wasn't; a noisy portable air-con unit was eventuall

+ The room was lovely and very clean, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. I would definitely recommend.

+ The location was excellent, with many of London’s major attractions within walking distance and nearby Tube stations making it easy to get around. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, the staff were friendly and welcoming. It was a perfect base for exploring London.
