+ The hotel is very well located. The housekeeping team is great and room service is perfect.

+ An very hotel located in the diplomatic and fashion area a few doors down from the American Embassy and around the corner from the Elysees Palace (French President’s residence) - so lots of security in the street. Good sized rooms and bathrooms (albeit shower in the bathtub) and excellent service. The bar and restaurant were also excellent and worth utilising. I experienced power problems and lost TV one day. Otherwise getting a bit dated, but hard to fault.

+ We stayed at the Sofitel Paris Faubourg Saint-Honoré during a heatwave with temperatures around 40°C, and unfortunately our experience was far below what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. The air conditioning in our room simply did not work, making the room unbearably hot for the entire stay. On top of that, the bathroom was in a shocking state when we arrived: the floor and walls were covered in dirt, and black/dirty water came out of the pipes. For the price we paid, we expected basic comfort and cleanliness, and got neither. Very disappointed
