Novotel Paris Porte De Versailles

+ First impression was negative since we had no help with our luggage (dragged from street), and the front desk lady spoke English poorly. We had booked a suite hoping that if I snored the sofa bed would give some space. But the "pull-out bed" was a chair pull-out that was almost touching the bed, so it would not only be no help but was in the way. The suite had more square footage than a standard room, but was laid out very poorly. We immediately asked to change to a standard room (mainly because my wife uses a cane, and the suite was a VERY long walk to the very end of the hall). We changed to a standard room, but the hotel refused to credit us with the price difference. Other negatives: Nothing in mini-bar; Our bathroom was cramped and a bad layout; Only instant coffee in the room; The roof-top terrace was only open for breakfast & dinner (with reservation); They closed the restaurant one evening (for an event) with no notice to guests; The bar times were very limited, and the barten

+ Great staffs friendly, welcoming and professional. Room is very clean and comfortable. The area is close to the metro, walkable streets.

+ Very easy check in, and beautiful room.

+ I like that the hotel although far from the city it had a train station close by. It was good after being all day in the city to go and relax away from the hustle and bustle.
