− The furniture and fittings in the room are getting a bit tired and really could do with refurbishing. For example the desk chair material and the carpets in a couple of locations were fraying and the woodwork was in places scratched or dinted. Also the breakfast offering although perfectly adequate was not really up to the standard of many other 5 star hotels in Bangkok.

− The only downside, both during my previous stay and this time, was the cleanliness and the overall condition of the rooms. They definitely show their age. The rooms have carpeted floors and fabric-covered walls instead of painted ones, which tend to trap dust over time. Another issue was the bedding. I found the pillow uncomfortable, so I requested another one. They kindly brought me two extra pillows, but both had a musty smell, almost like they had been stored away for a long time. I didn’t end up using them, and honestly, I didn’t feel like complaining. I’m sure they would have replaced them if I had asked, but for me, details like this should be taken care of before guests arrive. I also noticed that the carpet near the elevators had turned black around the edges from years of use, which made the hotel feel more worn than it should. That said, I still came back because the room size and price offer great value, especially for a one-night stay before leaving Bangkok. If I were st
