Barcelo Coconut Island Phuket

− Very slow response from the staff and maintenance team. Restaurants with limited food options.

− فقط الاكل تعبنا شوي خصوصا انه المطبخ الفرن فيه مو شغال مو قادره حتى اسوي اندومي فيه عشان الاطفال والمطاعم في المنجع مو مره اذيذه

− Lots of mosquitos (as expected on a tropical island, but make sure to come prepared) Small pool area for so many guests, some difficulty securing a pool lounger at busy times

− The price of the spa treatments was very high compared to the rest of Thailand (around £100 for a 1 hour treatment). Had there been some mid-priced options, I would have booked one in a flash! The cookery looked great but was also just too expensive for couple of hours. The 'western' food was a little below par especially the pizzas (too dry). The breakfast buffet and Thai food was excellent but I just can't stomach chili every night! We didn't go all-inclusive (just B&B) which worked out better value for us as we ate in phuket a couple of times. Also, we weren't restricted to certain eating times as other all-in guests seemed to be. The wider island itself is very littered with plastic bottles and waste, which is really sad to see. When we arrived on the public pier (during low tide) we had a pretty negative first impression of a very polluted coastline. The hotel minimises plastic use really well but I did feel more should be done to support recycling or waste removal from the
