+ Our stay at Diamonds Athuruga Maldives Resort & Spa truly lived up to its 5-star reputation — it did not disappoint. The Junior Suite was absolute perfection. The view from our decking was breathtaking, and having the sea just three steps from our balcony felt like a dream come true. The food was of outstanding quality, with a fabulous variety each evening that made every meal something to look forward to. A special mention must go to our waiter, Rasheed, who was exceptional throughout our stay. His attention to detail and level of service were truly 5-star. He looked after us at every meal; breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including two celebration gala nights, and he absolutely made our dining experience first-class. The excursions we attended — reef snorkelling, the dolphin trip, and the whale shark excursion were all run very professionally. We felt safe, well cared for, and still had plenty of fun throughout.
