Tithe Barn Bed and Breakfast

A genuine tithe barn that was used to store the tithe(10%) that was collected from local farmers by way of taxation for the church or the local landowner.That would include animals and/or harvested crops.The building eventually fell into disrepair and was derelict for many years.In the 1970s a local builder converted the barn into accomodation retaining many of the original features. The Barn Bed and Breakfast in Over Kellet offers rustic accommodation in a peaceful countryside setting. In north Lancashire, the large barn has a spacious garden with friendly ducks, while the village provides a gateway to the Lake District, less than 1 hour away.
